Our Process

We know that some of you have tried to sell your business through a broker.  Unfortunately, some of you have paid a "broker" for a market analysis or a "book".  You have been cheated out of money, and worse, time.  Here we will explain our process.  Know that every step here is done at NO COST.  We do collect a commission when your business sells.  As far as time goes, you will have to invest some.  We will do everything in our power to minimize that.

Day 1
First Step - Non-Disclosure

We will start off with a non-disclosure agreement from us to you.  Know that we will keep every tidbit of information that you share, including the fact that we had a conversation, confidential.  No one needs to know anything about this at this stage.

Second Step - A Conversation 

A call or a sit down conversation.  We won't get into specifics, but we will try to get us comfortable with each other.  We will want to know an overview of your business, good and bad.  More importantly, we will want to know about what you want, how you would like to see this process go.  Of course we will also answer any questions you may have.

Day 1 + 2 Days
Third Step - Numbers

If we both decide to proceed, we will need to see numbers.  Generally, we will need to see Profit & Loss (Income Statement) reports for the prior three years and also a year to date.  We will also want to see a current Balance Sheet.  We will have questions and we will need to get together to understand those numbers.

Fourth Step - Another Conversation 

We will sit down and tell you what we think.  All of the stake holders and decision makers need to be involved.  None of us will have on rose colored glasses, as they waste time.  We will tell you what we think your business will bring if we bring it to market.  We will also have a conversation about how the offer price will effect the time on the market.

Day 1 + 5 Days
Fifth Step - Our Guarantee

Again, if we both decide to proceed, we will talk about what we think we can do, and what will happen if we cannot do what we think.  This conversation will highlight how we will get you onto your next phase of your life.

Sixth Step - We Close the Deal

One way or another, we will close the sale of your business.  The clock will start ticking on your new-owner training period and you will doon be onto your Next Phase.
